Bill's Bottomless Pancakes: Prices, Rules and Is It Worth It?

Bill's Bottomless Pancakes: Prices, Rules and Is It Worth It?

The short answer: Bill's bottomless pancakes cost £5 per person on Fridays, all day, as long as you buy a drink, or £9.95 per person from 3pm to 5pm, Saturday to Thursday. Both deals give you 90 minutes of unlimited pancakes, served as stacks of three, and every flavour is included apart from the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken, Bacon & Hot Maple stack.

Bill's unlimited pancakes are one of the most searched-for restaurant deals in the UK, but the details are spread across separate terms pages, social posts and short-lived promotions. This page puts them side by side. It is a review of the offer rather than a restaurant visit: the judgement below comes from Bill's published terms and menu prices (checked on 30 September 2026), the value maths, and what diners report on Tripadvisor.

The full terms are on Bill's own pages for the £5 Friday offer and the 3pm-5pm offer. Offers change several times a year, so check them before you go.

The rules that catch people out

  • The drink rule applies on Fridays. £5 buys you one plate. To make it bottomless you have to buy a drink, and the terms don't say which drink, so a soft drink or a coffee counts as much as anything else. The 3pm-5pm terms don't mention a drink at all, though staff policy could differ, so ask if it matters to you.
  • 90 minutes, and the clock is the real limit. Both offers last for a 90-minute seating. A slow first plate comes out of your time, not the kitchen's.
  • Plates of three, one at a time. Each order is a three-pancake stack, and diners report finishing one plate before the next is ordered. That shapes how many flavours you can realistically try.
  • One stack is off the list. The Crispy Buttermilk Chicken, Bacon & Hot Maple stack is excluded from both deals.
  • No stacking discounts. Neither offer works with Blue Light, 2-4-1 Cocktails, Kids Eat Free, Welcome 20%, Birthday Bubbles, UNiDAYS or GRADLiFE.
  • Parties of 9 or fewer. A bigger group needs to book as separate tables or pay menu prices.
  • Not everywhere. The offers don't run at Bill's Heathrow T2, on Deliveroo, or (for the Friday deal) for takeaway.

What's on the pancake menu

At Bill's Soho in September 2026, every buttermilk pancake flavour cost £9.95 for a stack of three. Five-pancake stacks were £11.95 or £12.50 depending on the flavour. Prices can vary by branch. The flavours were:

  • Smoked Streaky Bacon, with syrup and butter
  • Berries & Whipped Vanilla Cream
  • Triple Choccy: Oreo crumb, chocolate sauce, dark chocolate shavings and chocolate ice cream
  • Granola & Fruit, with yoghurt and fresh fruit
  • Biscoff® Crumb, Maple & Banana, with whipped vanilla cream and syrup

Vegan stacks were also £9.95 for three: Granola & Fruit (made with gluten-free oats), Vegan Bacon, Berries & Whipped Vanilla Cream, and Biscoff® Crumb, Maple & Banana. All of these count towards the bottomless offers.

There is one discrepancy worth knowing about. Both sets of terms say the offer includes gluten-free vegan blueberry pancakes, but the Soho pancake menu didn't list a blueberry stack. If you need gluten-free, ask when you book. Bill's says its gluten-free dishes follow gluten-free recipes but doesn't promise they are free of other allergens, so coeliac diners should talk to staff before ordering.

Pancakes appear on the breakfast menu, which runs until 10am, and on the all-day menu, so the Friday deal works from breakfast through to dinner.

Are Bill's bottomless pancakes good value?

Using the Soho menu prices, the maths is straightforward.

The £5 Friday deal

If you only want one stack, £5 is roughly half the £9.95 menu price, and you don't need to buy a drink. That alone makes Friday the cheapest way to eat Bill's pancakes.

To go bottomless you need a drink. The Penny Pincher reported the cheapest at around £3.60 in June 2026, which puts bottomless at roughly £8.60 all in. Treat that drink price as approximate. Even so, it comes in below a single three-stack at menu price, while two stacks ordered normally would cost £19.90.

The £9.95 Saturday to Thursday deal

This costs exactly the same as one three-stack off the menu. So if you were going to order a stack anyway, every plate after the first is free. It also beats the five-stack (£11.95-£12.50) for anyone who will eat more than five pancakes.

When it isn't worth it

  • You want the chicken, bacon and hot maple stack, which is excluded.
  • You would otherwise use Blue Light, UNiDAYS, Kids Eat Free or another discount, since none of them combine with the offer.
  • You only want one small stack outside Friday, in which case the 3pm-5pm deal costs the same as ordering normally and gains you nothing.

The verdict

The Friday offer is the best deal Bill's runs, whether you want one plate for £5 or unlimited plates for the price of a drink on top. The weekday afternoon offer is good value only if you will manage at least two stacks, because one stack costs the same off the menu. The catches are practical rather than hidden: plates of three, finishing one before the next arrives, and a 90-minute clock that a busy kitchen can eat into. Book the start of a window and you avoid most of them.

What diners say

Tripadvisor reviews of the offer across several branches tell a fairly consistent story.

The pancakes themselves get good reports. A diner at Greenwich in September 2023 measured them at about 10cm across and nearly 2.5cm tall, ate three stacks (nine pancakes) in about 45 minutes, and described them as soft and fluffy. Positive reviews also come from Bath, Westfield White City, London Bridge, Leeds, Nottingham and Reading between 2023 and 2025, with one Nottingham diner saying staff "kept the pancakes flowing".

Speed is the main risk. A diner at the Birmingham Bullring branch in September 2023 booked for around 3pm on the £5 deal and waited roughly an hour for the first plate, which is two-thirds of the 90-minute window. They also said that people who arrived later were served first.

Stacks of three limit the variety. A Greenwich diner on Shrove Tuesday 2024 found that ordering whole stacks meant only one flavour each at a time, which made it hard to try the range. They suggested single pancakes per order would work better, and said the waiter agreed.

One caution on reading the reviews: most of the positive ones are a line or two, and many mainly praise a named member of staff. They show people enjoyed the visit, but they say less about the pancakes than the longer, more detailed reviews do.

Tips for getting the most from it

  • Book the start of the window. For the 3pm-5pm offer, a 3pm-3:30pm booking gives you the full 90 minutes inside the offer hours. The terms don't say what happens to a later booking that runs past 5pm, so booking early is a sensible precaution.
  • Order the next plate before you finish. Ask for your next stack when the current one is nearly done, so you are not waiting with an empty plate while the clock runs.
  • Mix sweet and savoury across plates. Because each order is a full stack, alternating a bacon stack with a berry or chocolate one keeps it interesting for longer than three sweet plates in a row.
  • Share flavours around the table. If you are in a group, order different stacks and swap, which gets round the one-flavour-per-plate problem.
  • Ask about gluten-free when you book, rather than at the table.

Make Bill's-style fluffy stacks at home

The pancakes at the heart of the offer are thick American-style buttermilk stacks, and they are not hard to make at home. Our fluffy American buttermilk stack is the place to start. For a savoury plate, try the bacon and maple pancake stack, or go fruity with the blueberry American stack. There are also vegan and gluten-free versions.

If you want to understand why the batter rises the way it does, read about what buttermilk does in pancakes and the science of American pancake batter.

Pancake Tuesday is independent and not affiliated with Bill's. Offer details were checked against Bill's published terms on 30 September 2026.

How long do Bill's bottomless pancakes last?⌄
Both standing offers are for a 90-minute seating. Pancakes come as stacks of three, and diners report finishing one plate before the next is ordered, so booking at the start of a window and ordering promptly makes the most of the time.
