Pancake Tuesday ("we", "us") runs pancaketuesday.co.uk. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what choices you have.
Information you give us
If you sign up for "the Pancake Day plan" or another newsletter form on the site, we store your email address to send that content and are notified you've asked for it. If you submit a photo or story to the Hall of Pancakes, we store what you send us so we can display it. We don't sell this information to anyone.
Cookies and similar technology
We use a small number of third-party services, each of which may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser:
- Vercel Analytics - cookieless page-view analytics that helps us see which pages are popular.
- Microsoft Clarity - session and interaction analytics (e.g. scroll and click patterns) that helps us improve the site.
- HubSpot - records form submissions so we can follow up with people who get in touch.
- Google AdSense - serves the adverts on this site. If you're in the UK or EEA, you'll be shown a consent banner before any ad-personalisation cookie is set, and you can change your choice at any time from that banner.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may mean some parts of the site work less well.
Who processes data on our behalf
Our database and photo storage are hosted by Supabase; transactional and newsletter emails are sent via Resend. Both only process data to provide their service to us.
Affiliate links
Some links on recipe pages are affiliate links - see our affiliate disclosure for details. Clicking one may set a cookie with the retailer so they know a purchase came from us; it doesn't affect the price you pay.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time (every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link). Email us to make any of these requests.
